Second Chances

I was watching Showtime grandfinals on tv, in between work, today.

Apparently, the winner among the 11 grand finalists, is the group from General Santos-- the XB Gensan. This group was the last performer, having won a slot for the finals through the wild card contest (losing monthly finalists were given another chance to compete for a slot in the finals).

Well, we can never tell what life bring us. More often than not, we felt beaten and on the brink of succumbing to despair. However, what's good about life is, we are always given second chances. They say, opportunity knocks only once. But I believe, we are always given the chance to do things all over again, when the first time, we missed the mark.

Just like what happened to the winner of Showtime. 'Twas such a great turnaround-- from being the losing group, to being the eventual winner. Making use of the Second Chance to an advantage.




Hmmmn... Thinking about second chances, I could remember also Eric Santos, who was also a wild card finalist, eventually being the winner; or Charice Pempengco, who lost in the contest, but eventually gained international fame by making use of the Second Chance.

Second Chances... perhaps, we should not be afraid of failing the first time, if that failure will prepare us to a bigger opportunity, the second time.
